About Us

Built by People Who've Lived Your Operational Challenges

Twenty-five years of retail operations experience combined with enterprise-grade technical expertise. We understand both the business problems and how to solve them.

Why Luxia Exists

The Pattern I Kept Seeing

I spent 25 years building brands and designing systems for retail companies—from independent boutiques to national chains. Beautiful storefronts, compelling brand identities, sophisticated marketing campaigns.

But beneath the polished exterior, nearly every operation struggled with the same chaotic backend:

  • Inventory in the wrong warehouses while losing sales in others
  • Ad budgets wasting thousands on products that couldn’t be fulfilled
  • Teams drowning in notifications, missing critical alerts
  • Manual coordination consuming hours that should be spent on strategy
  • Capital tied up in unprocessed returns or misallocated stock

The pattern was clear: growth creates operational complexity, and complexity becomes expensive if not managed well.

Store owners knew they had problems. Most had tried generic Shopify apps—helpful for basics, useless for unique workflows. A few had hired operations consultants who diagnosed problems but couldn’t implement technical solutions. Others just accepted operational chaos as the cost of scaling.

The Gap in the Market

There was a clear gap: stores needed custom operational automation but couldn’t access it.

Enterprise retailers could afford dedicated operations teams and custom software. Mid-market Shopify stores (£1m-£20m revenue) were too small for enterprise solutions but too complex for generic apps.

They needed someone who understood both operational problems (from years in retail) AND technical implementation (custom automation, systems integration).

That’s why I built Luxia.

Our Core Team

A small, focused team. We don't try to be everything to everyone. We focus exclusively on operational automation for Shopify stores, becoming exceptionally good at solving these specific problems.
As we grow, we add specialists—additional developers, operations consultants, client success managers. But we stay focused on operational automation, not expanding into adjacent services just for growth.
Quality over scale. Deep expertise over broad mediocrity.

Our Values

Operational Understanding Over Technical Capability

Technology is a tool. Understanding the business context—why this process matters, what the cost of failure is, how teams actually work—is more valuable than technical sophistication.

We hire for operational experience first, technical skills second. You can teach someone n8n or API integration. You can’t easily teach 20 years of retail operations wisdom.

Honest About What We Don't Know

We don’t claim expertise we don’t have. If a problem is outside our capabilities, we say so and help you find appropriate specialists.

We don’t oversell. If a simpler solution (including doing nothing) is better than custom automation, we’ll tell you.

Sustainable Business Relationships

We’re building a business that lasts decades, not extracting maximum value in year one.

This means:

  • Fair revenue splits with agency partners (60/40 or 50/50, not 80/20)
  • Optional ongoing support (you own the solution, monthly support is your choice)
  • Honest about limitations and realistic about outcomes
  • Long-term thinking in pricing and partnership terms
Continuous Improvement

We learn from every implementation. Each client teaches us something—new edge case, better approach, optimization opportunity.

We feed these learnings back into our methodology, benefiting future clients. Our solutions improve over time as we gain experience.

Our Focus

What We Do
  • Operational automation for Shopify stores (inventory, warehouses, suppliers, returns, ads)
  • Custom solutions built specifically for each client’s workflow
  • White-label delivery through agency partners
  • Integration with existing systems (Shopify, 3PLs, ad platforms, communication tools)
  • Ongoing optimization and support (optional)
What We Don't Do
  • Generic Shopify apps (we build custom, not one-size-fits-all)
  • Front-end development (agencies handle this; we focus on operations)
  • Marketing strategy or creative (complementary to agencies’ core services)
  • Infrastructure/hosting management (outside our expertise)
  • Quick fixes or shortcuts (we build robust, long-term solutions)
Why This Focus Matters

Generalist agencies struggle to excel at everything. We’re specialists—exceptionally good at operational automation, deliberately avoiding adjacent services.

When clients have operational problems, we’re the best solution. When they have design, marketing, or strategy needs, they work with agencies who specialize in those areas.

Focused expertise serves clients better than diluted generalism.
