“Luxia were the perfect fit. From the moment we started working together I knew we were on the same page. The ideas flowed… they developed…. and ultimately came together to complete a truly professional package that had myself, customers and employees suitably impressed. The process as a whole was seamless and I will be using Luxia for future projects.”
Tom Gaunt
Managing Director, The Lion Inn
A Worcestershire gem
Situated in the sleepy village of Clifton upon Teme in the rolling Malvern Hills of rural Worcestershire, sits the beautiful period building, The Lion Inn. This 4 star guest house boasts one of the best restaurants in the county, plus a traditional pub to boot.
Building brand awareness
The approach was three-pronged. Throughout the experience, we wanted to focus on luxury, excellence, and the customer experience. Our goals were to build brand awareness, encourage engagement, and drive conversion—all the while keeping those principles top of mind.
When we rebranded the guest house, restaurant and pub, we created a unique brand positioning around the lion logomark. Our aim was to accentuate, through the brand identity, manager Tom Gaunt’s commitment to a luxurious experience through lavish rooms, quality ingredients and traditional ales.
A lion-hearted, distinguished brand
We designed a logo that incorporated modern geometric shapes to create the symbol of the lion, while also updating the typeface to a modern, yet distinguished font. The new logo and brand colours were extended across all the bar and guest house materials and employee uniforms, as well as the Lion Inn’s new exterior signage.
Taking the brand online, we wanted to create a website that gave the business a 24-hour booking presence and brought the new brand positioning and restaurant offerings to life. We did this by focusing on the people, venue and ingredients behind the brand.
Rich brand imagery and a modern visual identity
In keeping with the bold and luxurious brand identity we created in collaboration with the Lion Inn team, we helped them modernise their visual identity and optimise their website, bringing their brand in line with the high-quality output of their business.
Built in WordPress to offer maximum accessibility and scalability, I created an intuitive and easy to navigate website and room booking system, to showcase the guest house. Illustrated with rich brand imagery and high resolution photography of the food & drink, the people and the venue, the website increased bookings by over 30%.
