Polly Card, PhD, is our Director of Video of Motion. She specialises in creating visual media for education, art, and communities.
Polly worked as Senior Video Producer at San Diego State University, California where she mentored students, led development, and worked with faculty to design and develop award-winning instructional media.
Polly worked as a film and radio Producer with the BBC for 8 years and freelance for clients including The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Spanish Ministry of Education, European Union, The Guardian, Runnymede Trust and Lord's Taverners. Polly also served on the California Arts Council panel 'Arts and Public Media' Programme, won the SRS Library Award, Enterprise Video Award, Award for Excellence at the Videographer Awards and the Hermes Creative Award.
A recent move back to the UK led her to Cambridge where she recently produced ‘The Pump Room’, a documentary and virtual reality film about the experiences of mother scholars at Cambridge University. It is part of The Rising Tide: Women at Cambridge programme, by the Cambridge University Library. She currently works as a Videographer with The Raspberry Pi Foundation.
